Learn how to make Kokedama with Tiny Paradise

Kokedama is an ancient Japanese technique (meaning moss ball), where a plant’s root system is bound with moss and string, transforming it into a mini work of art.

Join this guided workshop to get your hands dirty making two kokedamas to take home. You will be shown step-by-step how to make your own kokedama and how to incorporate the Japanese “Wabi-Sabi” principle of embracing imperfection, impermanence and awareness of natural beauty into your everyday life.

Course content
  • Step-by-step instruction on how to make a hanging kokedama and (importantly!), how to keep it alive
  • A brief history of the origins of the kokedama
  • Explore the principles of Wabi-Sabi and how to apply them to daily life
  • Discover how to enjoy the simple pleasure of getting your hands dirty
